Evert Snyman & The Aviary (as a three-piece) Evert Snyman, a multi-talented musician from Johannesburg, leads The Aviary with his distinct blend of alternative and psychedelic rock. Known for his work with Pollinator, Swandy, and Mad God, Snyman’s versatility as a musician and producer shines through in his performances. The Aviary’s latest album, “Pruning In The Dark,” recorded at Snyman’s Pariah Studios, features a heavier sound and a host of guest musicians from prominent South African bands like Ruff Majik and The Tazers.
Crash and the Void are an experimental alternative rock band from Pretoria, pushing the boundaries of rock with their innovative soundscapes. Formed in 2019, the band blends elements of horror rock with cinematic influences, as evident in their visually stunning and AI-assisted music videos like “The Cosmic Horror” and “Shadow Fiend”. Their unique approach has set them apart in the South African music scene.
Lefokolodi hails from the south of Johannesburg and stands out for their unique blend of punk, grunge, metal, and hip-hop. Their high-energy performances and genre-defying music have quickly made them a favorite on the underground scene. Recently, they released a DIY music video for their latest single, “I Wanna Eat,” which showcases their creative and rebellious spirit.
Drumfish is another fantastic addition to the lineup. Established in 2020, this Johannesburg-based hard rock band has been making waves with their raw and aggressive sound. Known for their powerful performances and innovative approach to rock music, Drumfish combines intricate drum patterns with melodic guitar work, delivering an unforgettable live experience.
